G30 (Gensler Tokyo’s 30th Anniversary)

CLIENT: gensler | 📍 tokyo, japan

Context: To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Gensler’s Tokyo office, we created an interactive exhibition to showcase the firm’s many architectural contributions and inspire visitors of all ages to envision their dream city. Titled "Creating a Better Tomorrow," the exhibition was held for two weeks at the Itochu SDGs Studio, which serves as a hub for SDG-related activities.

Creative Direction: The exhibit was divided into four zones based on Gensler’s mission: We (zone 1) Create (zone 2) a Better World (zone 3) through the Power of Design (zone 4). At these zones, visitors were invited to explore and imagine the impact of design in various aspects of daily life through architectural projects related to the environment, human rights, and peace. Founder Art Gensler’s quotes and video bites of Gensler personnel further highlighted the firm’s commitment to this mission.

Design Direction: The exhibit was designed to be interactive and inclusive of all ages by considering varying heights, playful characters with calls-to-action, and informative content catered to the local Tokyo market. 3D and 2D elements centered around Gensler’s iconic red branding and round motifs, and city icons of Gensler offices around the world were featured throughout the space.
